This book is a special illustrated version of 山海经 The Classic of Mountains and Seas, a Chinese mythological literature containing descriptions and illustrations of mythical creatures and geography in ancient China. Divided into eighteen sections, this Chinese classic text describes over 550 mountains and 300 channels, 277 animals, as well as more than 100 diplomatically related realms along with geographic and cultural information.
This book is a condensed version with 12 large double spreads of breathtaking illustrations and an exposed spine.
