RESTAURANTS

HOT POT: DA YU HOTPOT
● 81 Bowery ●@dayunyc
Latest hotpot addition to Chinatown. Pepper pork tripe & chicken broth is our first choice, get the small individual pots so you don’t have to share! The house made shrimp paste is a must.
HI-FI CHINESE: HWA YUAN 華園
● 42 E Broadway ●hwayuannyc.com
A legendary Chinese eatery from the ‘80s is revived in a three-story space with decorous rooms. The owner is also the head chef who still cooks there almost everyday. Whole Fish with Hot Bean Sauce is a killer, their Peking Duck is also one of the best in town, but the real gem is this kung pao chicken fried rice.
LO-FI CHINESE: SUPER TASTE
● 26 Eldridge St ●supertasteny.com
No-frills Chinese eatery known for hand-pulled noodles, dumplings and small comfort foods. All dumpling options are solid. The pork buns and Taiwanese Minced Pork Rice are so good too.
BBQ SKWERS: FRIENDSHIP BBQ
● 103 Bowery ●@friendship_bbq
Chinese BBQ comes on skewers. Apart from lamb, try beef back straps (a delicacy that rarely any cuisine deals with), needle mushroom, chives, and squid.
THAI: WAYLA
● 100 Forsyth St ●@wayla.nyc
Delicious homestyle Thai fare served in a stylish hidden space. Nice tranquil garden in the back is good for group dinners. Make sure to try the cocktails. We recommend Golden Carissa made with chrysanthemum tea.
POKE: CHIKARASHI
● 227 Canal St ●@chikarashinyc
Excellent gourmet poke bowls and refreshing dole whip (pineapple juice custard!). Chikarashi is a Japanese style sashimi bowl - more delicate & delicious than your regular poke bowl.
LATE NIGHT: NEW YORK NOODLE TOWN
● 28 Bowery ●greatnynoodletown.net
Where do you go at 3 a.m. hungry from mayhem-causing and drinking? Head over here and let some roasted meats and beef chow fun cure your problems.
GOLDEN DINER
● 123 Madison St ●@goldendinerny
Let's just say: scrambled egg+avocado+hash brown on a scallion brioche bun. This incredible breakfast sandwich and the matcha red bean coffee cake have saved us from many, many hangovers.
VEGETARIAN DIM SUM: BODHI KOSHER VEGETARIAN RESTAURANT
● 77 Mulberry St ●@buddhabodhai
Map Offer: 10% off dine in or take out.
Although started by the same owner of the Original Bodhi Kosher Vegetarian Restaurant, this one is run by the OG team. The vegan dim sum tastes surprisingly good and satisfying. The fried taro dumplings are our absolute favorite!!!

Whether you (like) skate(rs) or not, the LES skate park is a fun spot for people watching. The sound of rolling wheels can be soothing.
BAMBOO GARDEN (OPENS IN SPRING)
● 55 Essex St ●hotcactus.nyc
Mysterious little bamboo garden tucked away on Essex St. It’s a super chill spot for a summer day. The greenhouse in the back offers amazing cactus from the west coast.
M MUSEUM
● 4 Cortlandt Alley ●@mmuseum
Reopens April 2020. Amazing mini alley museum inside of a freight elevator. Seasonal curation showcasing some of the most intriguing items.
METROGRAPH
● 7 Ludlow St ●@metrographnyc
Upscale movie theater with a highly curated program that regularly shows Chinese cinematic gems and other indie movies. Sleek dark bar upstairs.
RECEPTION BAR
● 45 Orchard St ●@receptionbar.nyc
Chic low-key Korean soju bar right next door to us. Ginger Goblin, Lotus Breeze and Matcha Meadow are our top 3 favorite soju cocktails here. Non-alcoholic elixirs and bites are also available.

SNACKS

TOFU FA: FONG ON 宏安
● 81 Division St ●@fongon1933
Tofu fa should be your #1 low carb snack from now on. It's hard to describe the comfort a cup of hot silky tofu gives you. That's why you have to try Fong On! We love the assorted savory toppings and the rice cake.
RICE ROLL: JOE’S RICE ROLL 腸粉王
● 265 Canal st ●@steamriceroll
Inside Canal Street Market (food hall opens till 10pm), Joe's shrimp rice roll hits the spot more than any other rice rolls in the area for some reason.
TEA EGG & SOY MILK: YI JI STONE GROUND NOODLES CORP 一記石磨腸粉
88 Elizabeth St
Another solid steamed rice roll spot, but their tea egg and soy milk are exceptionally good. Come early or things will sell out.
HK STYLE DESSERT: MANGO MANGO
● 63 Bayard St ●@mangomangonyc
Mango pomelo sago is a popular Hong Kong dessert invented in the 80’s. If the sound of mango, grapefruit and coconut milk appeals to you then this is your spot.
ICE CREAM: SOFTSWERVE
● 85B Allen St ●@softswervenyc
Map Offer: Free topping with any ice cream purchase.
Give me your ube softserve or give me death! Ube is a an iconic Asian flavor that never gets old and is very similar to taro. The guys at Softswerve took it to another level.
CREAM PUFF: BIBBLE & SIP
● 174 Hester St ●@bibbleandsip
Mad cute pastries and mad delicious cream puffs. Big flaky choux pastry filled with lightly sweetened cold cream. Earl Grey and matcha puffs are both blissful.
