A LOOK INSIDE ONE OF THE LARGEST NOODLE SCHOOLS IN LANZHOU

The city of Lanzhou in Northwest China is famous for its beef noodle soup. The key to a great bowl of soup is the hand-pulled noodles; the texture and the showmanship of the noodles is what makes this dish such an international sensation. Noodle-pulling, however, is not easy and requires a lot of time and hours of practice to master. 

In a city where you can find a noodle soup joint on almost every corner, it’s no surprise that the demand for noodle chefs is extremely high. As a result, numerous noodle schools have popped up across the region where students can go to learn the secrets of hand-pulling noodles.
