RongRong's Diary: Beijing East Village presents a selection of images and diary entries made by Chinese photographer RongRong (born 1968) between 1993 and 1998, within the artistic community known as Beijing East Village—now poignantly described as “a meteor in the history of contemporary Chinese art.” RongRong’s acutely composed, richly expressive images captured scenes of daily life among fellow young, aspiring artists, and created definitive documents of iconic performance works by Zhang Huan and Ma Liuming, among others. Often highly challenging works, their performances and photographs would send an instant shockwave throughout the Chinese avant-garde, and later the global art scene. Revisiting these texts and images anew for this publication, RongRong has composed a personal narrative of an artist coming into his own. Beijing East Village also serves as an invaluable firsthand record of a burgeoning artistic community, its precarious political context and the real lives behind a pivotal moment in Chinese contemporary art.

- Express Shipping (1-2 business days) available at checkout for an additional cost.
- All orders are processed within 3 business days upon payment confirmation.
International Shipping:
- Available for all destinations via USPS, FedEx, UPS, or DHL. The best carrier option is shown at checkout based on your package weight, dimensions, and item cost.
Returns & Exchanges
- Items are eligible for return or exchange within 30 days of delivery. Requests made after this window are not eligible.
- Lingerie, swimwear, socks, masks, collectibles, art, and books are not eligible for return or refund at any time.

Initiate a replacement or return via your account login within 7 days of delivery. Once approved, we'll waive all shipping fees.
Refund Details
- Submit a refund request, wait for approval, then send the item back. If using a carrier of your choice, send us the tracking number at info@chopsueyclub.com.
- The customer is responsible for return shipping charges unless the item is defective or incorrect. We are not responsible for any damaged, lost, or stolen packages during shipping — please contact the carrier directly if this occurs.
- Return packages must include all original tags and accompanying packaging. Returns missing original tags or packaging may incur a fee.
- No restocking fees will be charged.
- Refunds are issued within 5 days of receiving and verifying the returned package.
- We reserve the right to refuse any returned item that doesn't meet our return policies.
